In this case study, we walk you through a rehab deal located in Washington, DC. I found the property on the MLS and it was a bank REO. There were multiple bids on this property and our bid was $5K lower than the highest bid. The Asset Manager accepted our bid because they felt more comfortable working with the listing agent who was also representing us. We used a different strategy when we sold the house. Instead of a typical open house, we had a 7-day auction and there were 70 potential buyers who came through in one weekend. It took 4-months from start to finish and total profit was $110K.
