This house was listed on MLS- a 1940 cape style home, with a 100+ year old, large barn, all located on a little over an acre of land. Located in the Wenham historic district, the barn was originally used as the town's trolley barn in the days of horse drawn trolleys so was historically significant. The house was in need of a complete rehab and the barn had lots of opportunity as a garage, home office, accessory apartment, or any combination. Roofs on both building were in need of replacement, and otherwise the barn was left for the vision of the next buyer. The house was gutted and lovingly rehabbed with a brand new kitchen, new gas fireplace, rebuilt chimney, architectural roof, all new windows, stonework pathways, completely updated bathrooms as well as a third full bath while creating a first level master suite. The original wood floors was sanded and stained a darker stain in keeping with the style of the house. The dark wood floors provided a great offset to the lighter toned walls, white kitchen cabinets, and quartz countertops and fireplace hearth. All three bathrooms was designed with white and grey tones with the result being clean and fresh.
How did the FortuneBuilders team and resources help you to accomplish this deal?
Coaches Ammon Brimhall and Kathy and Alex Schuck were helpful and encouraging at every step. Since the home was in the historic district, care had to be taken to ensure that it remained historically appropriate. The FB deal analyzer was a terrific tool and only continues to get better the more it is used.
