This property was a 1971 Split Level sold at auction and in really bad shape! The neighborhood was great, so we combined our collective creativity and essentially did a complete rebuild...in stages. We removed 40 years of over-growth, including 30 large trees. The property was a pie-shaped cul de sac lot overlooking a stream and we built close to the property lines with obtuse angles that allowed the natural beauty to be the focal point of each room. We transformed a 2,500 sq ft, 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath house into a 5,000 sq ft, 6 bedroom, 4.5 bath home. We added a 3 car carriage house with an in-law suite above. We dug out the basement to create a full open terrace level, which allowed us to make the entire 1st floor on one level. The unique design of this home was well received and highly desired by the neighborhood, significantly enhancing property values.
