We found this deal on the MLS. The home was on Hubzu.com and we had been watching it for a month or so. Like all auctions, the price started out very high and dropped around $10k each week. Once the home was within our price range, we purchased it. Our HML was already lined up and we were able to close pretty quickly. The house was vacant for at least 8-years, it needed a facelift badly but it was structurally sound. We put in new flooring, lighting, plumbing fixtures, granite countertops, and appliances. The house sold from word of mouth and we saved money not having to list it on the MLS.
How did the FortuneBuilders team and resources help you to accomplish this deal?
I had a very good idea of how to attack this project from the beginning. Several times I asked questions on the FortuneBuilders Facebook page and got back lots of great input.
