rnI was told about this deal by a friend, so I looked up the owner on the county auditor’s website. No one was living in the house. I sent a letter to the owner and received a response from the owner’s daughter in under a month. The daughter was in the process of getting the house put into her name. After waiting about 3 months for that to get done we were getting ready to close and the title company called and said we couldn’t close because of the tax stamp the property line ran right down the middle of the neighbor’s house, so the owner had to have a survey done on the house. Finally, in February we closed on it and started working on it, new roof, and new windows, painted the outside, new furnace & central air, some new drywall, new doors, new kitchen, took down some trees, landscaped & all new paint & flooring on the inside. We funded the deal with a home equity loan & 401Krn
