We found the deal on MLS and purchased it in December of 2019. This was our very first flip! We self-funded the deal. We gutted the entire first floor and opened it up and added an LVL beam. We turned an enclosed porch into a second full bathroom and finished the basement, adding a total of ~500 sqft to the gross livable area of the house. We gutted and redid the second-floor bathroom and refinished the floors and paint throughout. We rehabbed the entire exterior and roof and yard. We put it on the market at the beginning of the COVID crisis and still got $21K over asking! Far more valuable than the $89K we made on our first flip was all that we learned from going end to end on our first project!
