We’re members of our local Chamber of Commerce and this deal came to us through a referral from a Chamber Ambassador. The house had been on the market for a while, the seller was in a hard place financially, was behind on taxes, and wanted to close before Thanksgiving. She originally had the home listed for $475,000 and it was not selling. We offered $350,000 and she took it (closed on November 19th). The bathrooms had been recently renovated so we did minor repairs throughout, redesigned/renovated the kitchen, painted, installed new flooring throughout, and landscaped. The house was put on the market on February 1st for $469,000, and we had three offers over asking price within two days and closed on March 1st for $475,000.
