We found this deal 6-months prior to joining FortuneBuilders through a wholesaler and fully funded it ourselves. The rehab was a full gut renovation including a new roof, siding, and all windows. We also replaced all of the doors, add new electrical, plumbing, HVAC and insulation. After joining FB, we realized we made several “classical” mistakes, which included paying contractors upfront and not having a clear SOW. We did not make much money on this project because we started having issues with a contractor almost from day 1. Our coaches helped us in dealing with the bad contractor who we ended up firing and hiring a new one. From that point, we did everything following the FortuneBuilders system and we were able to complete the project.
