One of the hardest things for me as a beginner real estate investor is having confidence in dealing with the sellers. Majority of the sellers I've talked to are actual investors themselves. It was tough for me to convey to these sellers that I am an investor and that I am planning on flipping the property and not closing on the deal myself. I want to be honest at the same time not let them know too much of what it is I do. I just couldn't get over that fear of being sued for specific performance or burn the bridge before I even build it. After talking/emailing with my coach, I finally just told one of the sellers with confidence what I do, which is I buy properties, that I am the buyer and then I flip/wholesale them. Surprisingly, he acknowledged it and we continued on with our conversation and looked at me as a "potential" buyer. This might seem very miniscule but it was huge for my confidence on how to handle and talk to sellers. Thanks coach Ammon.
