In this case study, I walk you through this rehab located in Roeland Park, KS. This was a REO deal that my Brother and I found on the MLS through a buyer’s agent. Since we were paying cash, we knew we would be able to negotiate a deal below the asking price. We funded the deal and rehab costs with cash and did most of the rehabbing work ourselves which saved us a lot of the rehabbing costs. Once the rehab was finished, we leased out the location to a local tenant. As the lease expiration was approaching, we listed the property on the MLS and it went under contract after a month on the market. The completion time took 18 months due to some unexpected damages.
