We found this property on Facebook Marketplace on October 31st. We immediately contacted the person and got the code to go view in person. As soon as we stepped inside this vacant property, I knew it was a great deal. We sent an offer that night, and she accepted the next day. We closed on November 26th. It was then, that we discovered the seller was also a Fortune Builder investor, (Ginny Adkins) out of Orlando. We had many issues right out of the gate, hiring a handyman instead of contractor, which resulted in fines, delays, and a lot of repairs. Several contractors walked off the job, sub-contractors caused problems, but ultimately, Steve and I finished the rehab ourselves. We designed it with every detail in mind, replacing everything from the roof, floors, electrical panel, lighting, windows, paint, landscaping and removed walls to expand the kitchen and bathroom.
