We actually found this deal on the MLS. Originally it was in a price range over what we wanted to spend. Once the seller dropped the price, we contacted his agent and scheduled our inspection. Using the Repair Estimator, we calculated all of the costs. We made an offer the next day. It was our first "YES". This property had been vacant for a few years. We gutted the interior and the landscaping had a major overhaul. We were able to open up the space and make the house more functional. We added hurricane impact windows and doors, which was a huge expense, but worth it in the long run. Rehabbing during COVID was a challenge, as supplies were limited and costs were rising.
How did the FortuneBuilders team and resources help you to accomplish this deal?
The training and systems prepared us to more forward. Having the 6 critical documents in place and the repair estimator were at the top of the list. We had a relationship with a hard money lender, so when the seller said yes, we were ready.
