Dawn Medley

Argyle Properties LLC in Laurel, MD
Dawn Medley with Bill Medley

This property was being sold by the son who had inherited the house from his father who had inherited it from his grandfather. This was a cute twin bungalow built in 1929 in the historic Baltimore neighborhood of Ten Hills. All electrical, plumbing and gas lines were replaced. We added a brand new HVAC system and ductwork. The house was previously heated by radiators fed by an enormous boiler. All new bathrooms (3 full baths) and a new stainless and quartz kitchen. This one took a bit longer due to the pandemic and firing and replacing the general contractor but it turned out adorable.

Case Study

How did the FortuneBuilders team and resources help you to accomplish this deal?

The deal analyzer and having reliable comps was critical on this one especially since neighborhoods can change in Baltimore within a block or two of each other. You have to resist the urge to over improve and make sure your sale price is appropriate. We also recommend getting your own home inspection and address those issues immediately before going on the market.
