We found the deal as a pocket listing from our Realtor. We immediately put an offer in once it hit the MLS. We funded the deal with a HML and some of our own funds. The house was empty for 5 years and we bought it from another investor who wanted to get out of it. We put an extensive amount of repair in to the basement and foundation. It was a full gut rehab down to the studs. We added a bedroom and all new plumbing, Electrical and HVAC. We kept an old chimney in the kitchen exposed to give an old European look.
