We landed this deal shortly after reaching out to the Passive Income Club. One of our goals was to acquire passive income properties to help supplement our income, grow our retirement portfolio, and to leave a legacy. The Passive Income Club definitely helped us accelerate our learning and opened up new doors for us. We worked closely with Danika in determining what our goals were and how we can reach them. She connected us with professionals at Jacksonville Wealth Builders, JWB, and we brainstormed on what property would be ideal for us investing in another market. The property is a newer home that recently undergone renovation and is located in a nice area. Moreover, JWB had secured a resident that had already signed a new lease and they were ready to sell the property to investors like ourselves. We could not have asked for a better team!

How did the FortuneBuilders team and resources help you to accomplish this deal?

I have to provide a little background to help paint the picture of how we landed this deal. We are hopeful this will help our community to learn from our journey thus far. We recently joined Fortune Builders in February 2019 and closed on our 1st rental property locally in Washington state in September. We have been actively seeking additional properties since then and had another one under contract while we were attending last year's San Diego boot camp and Las Vegas Ignite. Unfortunately, we lost ~ $20K with that deal as we could not secure the gap funding needed to close in time. We did everything we could as new investors to make the deal work - sought guidance from coaches and more experienced investors, did our best to implement the strategies, etc. In the end, it was a great learning experience for us, we've learned a lot, and adapted our practice to help us reach our goals.
